Frequently Asked Questions

How it Works:

  • Stir is a super fun & educational cooking class experience. Guests will be working with others in a group of up to 6 guest at one of our three cooking stations, preparing each dish together. The Chef Instructor will do a demonstration of each recipe and guide you through the cooking process. Guests will be cooking for approximately 2 hours, then enjoying their meal in our mezzanine that overlooks the cooking area for the remaining time. While we cannot guarantee leftovers, guests are welcome to take them to-go!

  • In our effort towards a green future, Stir will provide a limited amount of to-go boxes for guests. Guests are encouraged to bring their own containers for any possible leftovers. Stir also has re-usable bamboo to-go containers for purchase.

  • Our class capacity is 18 guests for public cooking classes.

  • Date Night classes are priced per couple & all other classes are price per person

  • All classes are inclusive of tax.

  • Any gratuity can be added to in store tabs; all gratuity is shared equally amongst the team.

  • We NO LONGER require proof of vaccination or negative COVID test for all public classes. Please note if case in our community begin to rise again, we reserve the right to require this again.

  • We DO NOT REQUIRE masks at Stir Cooking School: if you feel more comfortable wearing one, please do so.

Beverages During Class:

  • Wine, beer & cocktails can be ordered throughout class. All drink charges are based on consumption. Beverages are not included in the cost of the class unless specified on the menu and class description.

  • We only accept credit or debit cards for bar purchases; we are a cashless.

  • Outside alcohol is not permitted per our CO State liquor license laws. CHEERS!

  • Any bar tabs left open following class are subject to 25% added gratuity.

When To Arrive, What to Wear & Where to park:

  • Arrival: Our doors will open 15 minutes prior to the start of class. We encourage all guests to arrive at least 5 minutes early for class.

  • Attire: We encourage all guests to dress comfortably. You will be on your feet, cooking at your station for about 2 hours. We highly recommend flat, close toed shoes. An apron will be provided for each guest, but you are welcome to bring one that’s special to you!

  • Parking: Stir does not have a private parking lot. Street parking is free in the LoHi neighborhood and is available on side streets. Please be aware of street sweeping and loading only signs.

Recipes:

  • Recipes will be emailed to you shorty after class. If you do not find them in your inbox, please check your junk/spam folder.

  • If you have not received them within 72 hours, please email us at info@stirtolearn.com & let us know what class you attended. Hard copies are available upon request.

Cancelation Policy & Refunds:

  • Cancelation Policy: Due to the nature of our cooking class set up, Stir has a one week cancellation policy. Cancellations must be made no later than one week (7 days) prior to class in order to receive a full refund or full transfer credit. If you need to cancel with 7 days to 72 hours before class, you are able to receive a 50% transfer credit. We do not offer refunds, class credits, or transfers 72 hours prior to class. If there is inclement weather and traveling safely to class is a concern, we are able to offer a 50% transfer credit.

  • Refunds: For security, refunds are not automatically processed when you cancel your registration online. Please email us confirming the last 4 digits of the card used to register and a refund will be processed.

  • Stir reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment, inclement weather and other unforeseen circumstances. You will be notified no later than 48 hrs before class if it is canceled. We will issue a refund in full or full transfer credit in this case. If there is inclement weather and traveling safely to class is a concern, we are able to offer a 50% transfer credit.

Dietary Restrictions & Allergies:

  • Accommodations: We are happy to make accommodations for dietary restrictions and allergies with a seven day advanced notice. Accommodations can be made if 1-2 dishes on the menu require ingredient substitutions and not a complete recipe modification. Stir reserves the right to make recipe substitutions based on ingredient availability and seasonality. **Please note: It may not be possible to adjust every menu we offer. Unfortunately, accommodations cannot be made for baking or pasta classes.

  • How To: When completing your registration, please be sure to list your dietary restriction needs. You may also email us to confirm we have reviewed your request.

  • Cross Contamination: Please note that as a public recreational kitchen, we cannot guarantee there will be no cross-contact of ingredients. Please be advised that Stir Cooking School will not assume any liability for adverse reactions to food consumed.

  • Allergen & Nutrition Disclaimer: Please be advised that our food may contain or come into contact with common allergens, such as wheat, dairy, eggs, soybeans, tree nuts, peanuts, fish, or shellfish. While we take steps to minimize risk and safely handle the foods that contain potential allergens, please be advised that cross contamination may occur, as factors beyond our reasonable control may alter the formulations of the food we serve, or manufacturers may change their formulations without our knowledge. We do not possess the authority to provide nutritional advice or give advice concerning proper nutrition–which is the giving of advice as to the role of food and food ingredients.

  • Office Hours: We have limited office hours, please email us at: info@stirtolearn.com for the quickest service.

  • Kitchen Hours: Wednesday - Friday from 6:00-9:30pm | Saturday 11am-2:00pm, 6:00-9:30pm | Sunday 11am-2pm, 5-8pm

  • Please Note: Hours are operation are subject to change based on the class schedule.

Gift Certificates & Promotions:

  • Great news: our gift certificates never expire! Gift certificate purchases are final & non-refundable. Learn More about our GIFT CERTIFICATES

  • Any promotion offered cannot be applied to previous purchases.

Service charge & tipping:

  • Classes are priced per person or per couple and are inclusive of tax.

  • Any additional tips or gratuity are greatly appreciated and shared equally amongst the staff. Gratuity can be added to bar tabs/in-store tabs.

Age Requirements:

  • The minimum age requirement to attend a class is TEN (10) years old. Children under the age of 18 MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times.

  • We do not offer kids cooking classes, with the exception of Holiday treat-making classes. If you are interested in the kids camp, please contact Sticky Fingers Cooking directly for information.
